Our story began in 1980, in a basement in Birkenhead, Auckland. With a Morris 1000 van, a telephone line, and two founding team members, Armstrong was created with one goal: to provide trustworthy, local locksmithing and security support.

That single location grew quickly. One workshop became many, and our fleet of mobile vans expanded across Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury, Nelson, Manawatū, and more. Today, we're proud to serve customers from urban centres to rural communities with the same dedication that started it all.

Armstrong started in 1980 with just a van, a phone line, and a commitment to doing the job right. In just three years, we opened our first shop. By 1990, we had already grown into one of the most trusted locksmith providers in the country.
